The Platinum Hotel Las Vegas Plans For Opening
After all the bad news coming out of Las
Vegas recently, it's important to remember that hotels are actually getting completed. Hotel Interactive reports that
The Platinum Hotel, a condo hotel and spa complex, will open in June. The
hotel features 255 suites with views of the Strip and the mountains. All the units in the high-rise are fully-furnished
condos. The Platinum is one of the smaller complexes. There is no casino and prices start at in the $200,000's for a
one-bedroom suite.

Yes, there has been a bit of bad news for Vegas Condos in the past month. While Related Companies' decision to abandon the ICON Las Vegas project is a let down, their stated reasoning makes sense - there is A LOT being built right now, and you have many developers chasing after the same finite resources. It pushes prices too high and makes developments not feasible financially. Perhaps in another 12-18 months, after some more projects are completed, we will see a second wave of development.
