Pelikan Colossus of Rhodes Pen

Pelikan’s beautiful “Colossus of Rhodes” fountain pen celebrates one of the vanished great wonders of the world. The original Colossus was a massive bronze statue of the sun God Helios which sat on the island of Rhodes. The statue was roughly the size of our Statue of Liberty. The fountain pen, like the original Colossus is partly made of bronze. The edition number is engraved on the filler knob end and Pelikan has created 408 of these pens in order to celebrate the founding of the town of Rhodes in 408 B.C. The shaft of the pen shows a golden replica of the statue and the cap is bronze with gold-plating. The bronze clip is gold-plated and has a Greek key design. The pen has a suggested price of $3,600 but can be bought for $2,699.
