Cute, but so many great dogs are available at shelters. Sad to see all these celebs promoting dog breeding when there are so many unwanted animals in the world. Just my 2cents.
Sherri Dec 23rd 2005 8:31PM
Wow...another breed that responsible purebred dog breeders and rescue personelle have to rescue!! What about all those wonderful mutts in the shelter???? Why produce more mutts just so that more mutts can be euthanized. There are enough "oops" litters without creating new ones!! There is no such thing as highbred vigor. What next Bull Shih (Bull Dog X Shih Tzu)?
Steve Dec 23rd 2005 9:13PM
Great. Another season, another fad. But unlike a briefly "hot" pair of Jimmy Choos or a Kate Spade handbag that can be left in a closet, who's gonna take care of the "it" doggies once they've peaked in popularity? Taking care of a pet is a lifetime commitment, and
for many dogs, that's FIFTEEN years. By that time, James Gandolfini'll be making infrequent guest appearances on "CSI: Waunakee."
Pets are not disposable. I wish people would stop treating them with less respect than beverage containers.

I think that every person that breeds or buys these dogs, and sells/buys form pet shops should have to visit puppy mills and be there when these poor pupppies have to be put down, and make them do it.When are we going to get through to the public that they are hurting these puppies not helping them?
Amy Kelley Dec 29th 2005 1:46PM
I got my puggle about 15 months ago - I got him because we fell in love with him - this was before the puggle craze. I love our dog and I'm glad we have him but this "breed" needs lots of love, attention and patience. I'm afraid many of the impulse/fad puggles sold this Christmas will end up in pounds as people find them too much work. If you are thinking about getting a puggle - please dogsit for one first to find out how much work they can be!
