Ruby Red, the $950 Cocktail

Our siblings at Slashfood mentioned this a while ago but now we have a picture of the Ruby Red, a pricey cocktail being sold at Chicago nightclub Reserve. The Ruby Red is a mixture of Grey Goose orange vodka, Dom Perignon champagne, Pama pomegranate liqueur, Hypnotiq cognac and orange juice. And the drink includes a one carat A-grade ruby. The ring can be turned into a pendant or ring and the cocktail costs $950. And unlike other drinks in this category, this one actually sells. The Yahoo News article reports that three have been sold, one to a regular who bought it for his girlfriend, one by an out-of-town businessman who bought it for a woman with him and one by a club promoter who bought it to impress a first date.
