More On The New Mexico Spaceport: The Starck Factor
A few days ago we mentioned Virgin Galactic's move to New Mexico. The official details were revealed in a press conference in England, reports Space.com. Sir Richard Branson will build a $22 million spaceport and they are building five spaceships in the near future. Today Branson and New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson will make it all official and then visit the future spaceport site, near Upham, New Mexico. French uber-designer Philippe Starck has put his quirky little paws into this project too, designing the new spaceport, which will be 90% underground and creating Virgin Galactic's creepy new logo which features Branson's bright blue eye.
