Ducati Hypermotard Concept Bike
When I heard that the new Ducati Hypermotard was headed to Long Beach I knew it was worth braving a little traffic on the 710 to go down and sneak a peek at the unveiling of this mountain-carving machine. According to Rubber Magazine the bike just won the EICMA "Best of Show" at the 63rd International Motorcycle Exhibition. My piece-of-crap camera doesn't do this beauty a bit of justice but the Ducati website has a vroom-vroomified miniwebsite dedicated to the bike. The gorgeous bike has an air-cooled twin engine and is designed to be compact and fast. It has hit speeds over 135 MPH on the track and is a slim 385 pounds. It's full of brilliant details, its sharp red nose, the folding mirrors which double as handguards, the rocket-booster-like exhausts, and the 1000 Dual Spark Engine. Something tells me this beauty will not remain a concept for long.
