The Diamond Fruitcake
Yet another wacky sparkly thing coming out of Tokyo. This time it is a diamond fruitcake that goes on display Friday in Japan. The cake is part of an exhibit called "Diamonds: Nature's Miracle." The fruitcake is edible and took six months to develop and one month to make (which means it's about as fresh as other fruitcakes around the holidays). The cake is for sale for $1.65 million and has 223 small diamonds which have to be removed before eating.
