Another Look at the $40 Million House in Alpine

We mentioned this home back in August but since The Street just ran an article on it, we thought we'd take another look. This $40 million estate in Alpine, N.J. has been on the market since last spring and has 60,000 sq. ft. of room to roam. The details include indoor and outdoor pools, a giant aquarium, wine cellar, ice cream parlor and bowling alley. Still, no takers on the 13 bedroom home. Overpriced? Given the slow leak of the real esate bubble perhaps it's time to take this one down a few mil.

WOW! That thing is amazing! It's worth the $40 million in my book. What I would really like to know is what kind of staff it takes to run a place like that. The ice cream parlor alone seems like it would need a full time staff to keep track of all the ice cream. Let me know if it drops into my price range.
