Prada, Not Just For Devils

We all know that the Devil Wears Prada but did you know the pope has a taste for the fancy Italian retailer too? Newsweek reports that Pope Benedict XVI loves his red Prada loafers and Gucci shades. But could he be ditching the tailors that have a 200 year tradition of dressing the pope? Benedict has prefers Alessandro Cattaneo, and the 20-year-old religious-fashion house of Raniero Mancinelli as the makers of his robes, eschewing the Annibale Gammarelli tailors, who have been dressing popes  since 1792. Gammarelli made a cassock that was too short for the pope and he is reportedly uncomfortable in the Gammarelli vestments. Too bad the pope can't pick from fashion designers for his papal robes, I bet John Galliano would do some amazing things with the papal vestments.
