Fengxian Yacht City
BYM News has an in-depth look at Fengxian, the area in China that is set to be the center of the Chinese yacht industry. Fengxian is located in the south of Shangai where the Chang Jiang river, Tai Hu river and Hang Zhou bay connect. One of the facets of the ambitious plan is Jin Hui Harbour yacht city, which will have a yacht harbor with a clubhouse, a commercial area with yacht brokerage and a yacht exhibition hall. There will also be a theater, hotel and an exhibition center. The Jinsha coastal development will include a number of small communities being created as Shanghai's new watersports and leisure destination, with a golf course, tennis court, hotels, restaurants and moorings for visiting yachts. Another area is the Nan Qiao Yacht district, a planned town modeled on Barcelona, Spain. The yacht building will take place in the Feng Yang yacht industry zone which will be divided into six core areas for yacht production, component manufacturing, interior decoration and woodworking, shipping and storage, yacht research and development and an administrative center.
