Sunday Real Estate Round-Up
From the
LA Times Hot Property:
• Smokey Robinson and his wife, have put their estate in a gated Chatsworth development on the market for $10.5
million. They are downsizing from the seven bedroom, 9,000 sq. ft. home. Details include a home theater, multiple
kitchens and family rooms, a wine cellar and a gym. The listing (no good pics)
can be found here.
• Duff McKagan of Velvet Revolver has bought a Sherman Oaks home for under $3 million.
• Actor Currie Graham and his wife also bought in Sherman Oaks for $900,000.
• And in the oh-aren't-we-suprised category, Paris Hilton, ditchee Paris Latsis has put the
Esquire House back on the market for
$13.8 million (he bought it for around $12 million). Now if only he could get the ring back.
From the NY Post Gimme Shelter:
• We had no idea that Land's End, the Sand Point estate we
profiled a few weeks ago, was such a deal. According to Braden Keil this same property listed at $28 million was
originally on the market in 2001 for $50 million. It was eventually sold to a developer for $18 million. The land may
be subdivided into four additional lots.
• The rumor of the $90 million sale, which we've been hearing
about since August, gets a little more real. The deed was transferred for $0 but rumors say the deal could be up
around $95 million.
• Alas, some other rumors have proved false, Lenny Kravitz is
not buying the Duke Semans mansion but could Donny Deutsch be the $50 million man?
From the NY Times Big Deal:
•New Yorker film critic and author of "American Sucker" David Denby has put his Manhattan home on the block for $1.1
million. Pictures of his bookcase-laden lair
can be found at the
listing.

Didn't Paris auction the ring off for some insanely small amount relative to its worth and/or purchase price?

No, he let her keep it.
