Magic Flavor Wine Device
Last week we heard about the wine aging device that uses electrolysis now we find about one that is a little more low-tech. Magic Flavor uses a magnet plug that promises to instantly change the physical state of the young wine (or brandy). You put the device in the bottle and our and as the wine passes through it changes. The website says that the physical condition of the treated wine will last about 15 days. The device sells for $39.99 and no, we have no idea why they have astrological signs on them. Has anyone out there tried this wine doohickey?

This is nonsense, from the same world as green markers that enhance your CD audio quality, and "magic pyramids" that you place near your record player to "balance the energy" of the room. Any magnetic field that you can create in your home isn't going to do squat for your wine, and it's unlikely that research-grade fields would do anything of interest either.

It's rubbish - there was something very similar released a year or two back. They just dont work.
And why would you leave a bottle of wine open for 15 days - it is bound to change (deteoriate) if opened for that length of time.

There is nothing like true aging thus far for producing the best red wines (5 to 40 years) and porterhouse steaks (10 to 14 days). A contraption that enhances wine instantly? The world of wine will be watching as wine tasters from every notable country gets involved to before and after tasting. I fear only that the average fine wine connosier using the electrolysis system can destroy their best bottles as well as inhance them with equal risk.
