Forbes' Most Expensive Homes of 2005
In addition to its Most Expensive Restaurants and Most Expensive Cars lists, Forbes has published 2005's Top Ten Most Expensive U.S. Homes. Topping the list is the $75 million Three Ponds estate in in Bridgehampton, NY. The house itself is 25,000 square feet and the 60-acre grounds include 14 gardens and a Rees Jones-designed USGA-rated golf course with its own pro shop. If you have your eye on a one of these properties, you should act quick: the values for the homes on the list are on the rise, up about 5% from last year and averaging over $50 million each.
