Louis Vuitton Opens New Champs Elysees Store
Louis Vuitton recently re-opened their Champs-Elysees store in Paris with a party for more than 1,000 guests. The newly remodeled store was jointly designed by architects Eric Carlson and Peter Marino is a promenade of terraces in an Art Deco style. The store also features contemporary art by James Turrell, Tim White-Sobieski and Danish conceptual artist Olafur Eliasson. The party was attended by a wide variety of celebs from Uma Thurman, Sharon Stone and Winona Ryder to Bob Geldof, Takashi, Muakami and Chow Yun-Fat and later moved to the Petit Palais where Dita Von Teese and Pharrell Williams performed. The store is the largest Vuitton store and officially opens on October 12. Who is this palace of luxury aimed at attracting? According to Bloomberg the store is designed to lure Chinese visitors who spend lavishly while they are traveling in Paris. Maybe this is Forbes reports that the LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault predicts that the opulent boutique will be profitable from the first month.
