Adam Aircraft
An article in the Ogden Standard-Examiner in Utah
brough Adam Aircraft to my attention. They are a small company that
will start delivering their carbon-fiber A500 twin-engine airplanes later this year. The carbon fiber A500 has a very
distinctive look and is one of the few planes using a carbon-fiber composite structure. The A500 costs around $1
million and there are already about 80 back orders. One interesting design feature of the A500 is that the engines are
both one the center line rather than on each wing. Up next for Adam is the A700, a VLJ ( very light jet) aimed at the
busines travel market. The A700 should be certified for sale by the end of next year and there are already over 140
orders from individuals and charter busineses. The A700 will be a competitor to the
Cessna Mustang and the
Eclispe 500.
