Perivolas
Perivolas is s a unique Aegean retreat. The Perivolas complex of houses is built on on a hill with gorgeous views of the deep blue Aegean Sea. It is a five-star hideway of traditional white cave houses. There are 17 homes carved into the cliff and furnished with Cycladic-styled art and antiques. The star attraction of the Perivolas is their large infinity pool, which has been on the cover of a variety of travel magazines because it sits high on the cliff and looking over the rocky islands of the Aegean. The travelers at Trip Advisor remark that it is pricey but an extraordinary experience. Prices start around $440 per night.

It's worth noting that this wonderful hotel is located on the Greek island of Santorini, on the upper edge of what they call a "caldera," which is the rim of a volcano. The view from the caldera is the epitome of breathtaking. There might be an equally beautiful view somewhere in the world, but there are none that surpass it, in my humble opinion.
