The Wyck Estate

wyck estate

We love the historical places even if the don't have a good ghost story. The Wyck Estate in Manchester-by-the Sea, Massachusetts echoes with Gilded Age glamour. It has stone walls, tennis courts, a private beach, boat house, carriage house, children's playhouse and a filtered saltwater pool all set in a town that pretty much defines quaint New England.  The Wyck Estate is a replica of a French chateau and used brick imported from France. It sits on Smith's Point and the ten acre oceanfront compound has ocean views. The main residence, built in 1912 has been owned by the same person since 1944 so it maintains its original charm including marble fireplaces, plenty of carved wood and ornate  stonework. It is listed at $23.5 million and has been on the market at least a year. It has been used as a summer estate and the listing has interior photos that show off the elegant French-styled interior.
