SparrowHawk Gyroplane

Groen Brothers Aviation, Inc. has announced today that have sold over 100 of their SparrowHawk Gyroplane and SparrowHawk/P modification kits. These funny-looking little aircraft can be bought in kit form for just under $35,000. New FAA Sport Pilot rules allow licensed pilots to fly these small gyroplanes using a driver's license in place of an FAA medical certificate. The SparrowHawk actually has a wider cabin than a Cessna 172R. There are several flight centers that teach people how to fly these unique aircraft. It looks like it must be amazingly fun to fly in.
