South Coast Winery and Resort

The South Coast Winery Resort and Spa is a new resort in progress in Temecula's Wine Country. Where's Temecula? It's in Southwest California, not a place usually known as California wine country but an area that is gaining an increasing amount of attention. The South Coast Winery Resort not located anywhere near the South Coast, it is located 50 miles north of San Diego and 90 miles southeast of Los Angeles. The resort includes a 2,000-square-foot tasting room and gift shop and Vineyard Rose, a restaurant that includes outdoor patios with vineyard views.  The accommodations are in 76 villas, ranging from 575-1150 sq. ft. which have fireplaces and Jacuzzi tubs. A 6,000 sq. ft. spa will open up sometime this winter. A weekend night package in the villas that includes a bottle of wine on arrival and a ride in the winery's hot air balloon costs $515 per night on the weekends.
