Forbes Lists The Most Expensive Cars
As Forbes notes in their article on the most expensive cars, there isn't a Ferrari or Bentley in the bunch. The world's most expensive cars include the Saleen S7, the Pagani Zonda C12S, the very fast Koenigsegg CCR and CC8S, the Porsche Carrera GT, the Maybach 62 and 57, the Mercedes SLR McLaren, the Rolls-Royce Phantom, and the Spyker C8 Double 12S. I still love the Saleen, what's your dream car?

The common thread that you are missing between the cars on the list is that they are in production, many of the cars you have listed are no longer in production, otherwise many classic cars would dominate this list, and some of the cars on your list are not yet in production, and probably never will be (at this point, I think everyone knows the Veyron is a pipe dream). Thats why your list is so different, and as classic cars go, your list isn't even close. There once was an early model Rolls Royce Ghost that was appraised at $50,000,000, and many Dusenbergs I'm sure blow much of that list out of the water.
