However, nobody ever talks about the limitations that you get from these kinds of services. Yes everything is fabulous. But what about those places that these companies don't have deals at or relationships with. It seems that a luxury filter is ideal for choosing places to go, see and where to eat. But when you're traveling there should be a sense of discovery about a place.

raquel brule

Comments on Ask Luxist: What's The Best Concierge Service?

I personally use AMEX Centurion Concierge... they're wonderful. They've been fairly successful with getting hard-to-get restaurant reservations as well as some very odd requests... No complaints - however this is the ONLY service I've ever used, so I cannot compare it to anything

Daniel Strack

Comments on Ask Luxist: What's The Best Concierge Service?

You sound poor.

Johhny Screw

Comments on Ask Luxist: What's The Best Concierge Service?

Deidre

As I dont have your email please accept the comment. I am an adventurous traveler, not someone who needs my hand held, but I like to be able to make plans at a moment's notice and don't have the free time to do it all myself. While they may not have connections or the ability to get great deals at every property, they do have good people who are on top of everything. They have never told me "no" on a request. And beyond travel, they are integral in helping me run all areas of my life--truly a "lifestyle management" service. I couldn't hack it without them!

Joe

Comments on Ask Luxist: What's The Best Concierge Service?

I have been consistantly disappointed with Quintessentially. I have been trying to leave them for years. However, for those dozen phone calls one needs to make a year to make reservations while in locations where one does not have a number available, a simple call to Q sorts it out. Think of it as having a shared secretary at about $150 a month.

JP

Comments on Ask Luxist: What's The Best Concierge Service?

Does anyone know how the service provided by "Circles" compares to "LesConcierges"? Twice, they actually dropped the ball in mid-play and excelled only in blaming various employees in their ineptness.

I'm sorry but this service charges so very much for their *expertise* then fails to come through.

It's just another racket as far as I am concerned.

Deanna Davis
