The Robert Taylor Ranch
Think there are no huge estates left in Los Angeles? The Robert Taylor ranch built in 1956 is a classic retreat in Brentwood that has 122 acres of trees and equestrian trails. The large main house designed by Robert Byrd has Western appeal. The house includes a study, master bedroom with dual baths and a spa room. And you don't have to worry about guests underfoot, there are four guest houses for a total of 17 bedrooms on the estate. The grounds include a pool, tennis court, and stables. One of the few highly-priced homes that we've actually seen the list price go up on, it originally was listed at $35 million, then $40 million and now has spent over a year on the market at $50 million. The estate is owned by the former radio station owner, Ken Roberts who bought the home in 1975 for $900,000.
