Trinity Yachts Survive Hurricane Katrina
One of the U.S.'s most celebrated makers of megayachts Trinity Yachts, is based in New Orleans. Despite being in the path of the storm, the yachtbuilder is still standing. Felix Sabates, the chairman of the company has reported that they had flooding from the hurricane but now the yard is now dry. Three of yachts at the yards are afloat including Leda, the Lady Florence and the recently launced Zoom Zoom Zoom. Sabates said he's received lots of phone calls from the marine industry and many have offered help but that he hasn't had a chance to assess the damage yet. They say that they have no intention of shutting their doors but some workers are already looking for work elsewhere.
UPDATE: BYM News reports that Trinity is setting up new offices in Baton Rouge and that they still intend to be at both the Monaco and Fort Lauderdale boat shows.

I am a temp employee of Trinity Yachts through Tech Serve. I whould like to know how to contact Trinity Yachts or Tech Serve so I can get information about my pay and getting my tools. I also would like to find out any information on when we might be able to return to work or any thing that might be helpful. Thank you. Robert Williams

Robert and Bernard, as well as anyone else who need to check in with Trinity Yachts admin department should try calling (877)-414-4191. It will seem as though you have dialed a wrong number at first, but if you stay on the line your call will roll over to the temporary Trinity admin number. Good luck and hang in there, with luck I hope that we will be up and running soon.
