Mii Amo
An interview with spa designer Sylvia Sepielli led me to discover Mii Amo, a destination spa in Sedona, Arizona. The
spa was recently chosen the second best destination spa in the world in Travel + Leisure magazine. It boasts an
impressive array of treatments that are on the more New Age side of spa treatments (as befits the Sedona location).
Bathe with crystals, get scrubbed with blue corn or enjoy a watsu water massage and then retreat to your own private
suite with patios, a massage room and a whirlpool. The resort also features two pools and a crystal grotto. If you need
to refresh both mind and body, they have a "Creativity Week" package coming up in September that combines the usual
treatments with special workshops. Consider it the ultimate cure for writer's block. A seven-day package in a Mii Amo
suite starts at $5880.
