Christie's Exceptional Motor Car Auction
There are a number of car auctions in Monterey this month and the Christie's event at the Monterey Jet Center on August 18 is one of the biggest. We previously wrote about this auction because it features a Ferrari Breadvan but there are other treats in store, including a 1955 Gullwing Mercedes belonging to Washington Redskins owner Danny Snyder (who is also selling a 1933 Lincoln convertible). The swoopy beauty shown here is a 1937 Talbot-Lago, a museum-quality rarity which was part of the collection of Brooks Stevens.

Is there any way to figure out if some auto auctins that charge for their services are lagit?
