It may look like a stealth fighter but this sleek beauty is actually a trimaran. This 23 meter Wavepiercer Trimaran
is being built as a private motor yacht in the Indian Ocean surrounding the island of Mauritius. They yacht is a
two deck wavepiercer trimaran with a large external cockpit, an adjacent galley and dinette and a bridge area capable
of seating a pilot and seven passengers in aircraft style 'one plus one' seating arrangement. It will sleep eight
in three double cabins plus a twin bunk arrangement. The boat is designed to travel fast, zipping along the 250
nautical miles between the islands of Mauritius and Saint Brandon and returning without refuelling. The designs
of the Craig Loomes Design Group are known as wavepiercers because they are meant to go through the waves rather than
riding the over them. The company does custom trimarans and catamarans including designing the boat for the
Earthrace, an ambitious plan to circumnavigate the globe in a boat using only
renewable fuel sources. Earthrace is currently actively seeking donors to help them get their trimaran into the
water.
