Bolivar Cigars

General Cigars has relaunched the Bolivar brand. The Bolivar is the boldest cigar in the General Cigar portfolio. It has a wrapper of Honduran San Agustin Ligero and is bound with Havano Medio Tiempo, the Connecticut-grown tobacco that also wraps Partagas Black Label. The blend for Bolivar consists of Dominican tobacco and Nicaraguan filler from Esteli, and from the remote volcanic island of Ometepe. Bolivar cigars will debut with four traditional Cuban frontmarks: Lonsdale is a 6 ½" x 45 cigar, which will be available at retail for $5.50 each, Robusto is 5 ½" x 50 and will cost $5.80 each, Toro is 6" x 52 and  $5.95 each, and the Churchill which measures 7" x 49 and costs $6.25 per cigar at retail. The cigars will be available at tobacconists in late September.
