David Linley Turkish Humidor
On this site we've seen many fabulous humidors but this may be the most opulent. British furniture makers, David Linley have created only one Turkish humidor. It celebrates they style of the palaces of the Bosphorus, taking its cues from four historical palaces. Each side of the humidor features a gateway of a palace: Dolmabahce Palace,Kucuksu Palace, Ciragen Palace and Beylerbey Palace. The facades are rendered in intricately carved wood with metal details. Several of the panels contain secret drawers that conceal a stainless steel S. T. Dupont cigar lighter and a Zeto cigar cutter. The top of the humidor is hinged and opens to show a cigar ashtray in silver spun nickel set into sycamore, that can be removed. Beneath the ashtray are two cedarwood storage trays and a removable hygrometer panel. When the humidor lid is opened against the light, the translucent, alabaster and glass resin panel inset into the lid shows off a Turkish influenced pattern. This humidor is can be viewed at the Linley shop in London (which is having a sale) and is available for purchase.
