Eaton Neston Sold
Easton Neston, one of England's finest estates has finally sold. The home was originally put on the market for £50 million last May but when it didn't sell the 3,300 acres of farms and farmland were divided into separate lots, most of which have already been sold. The main manor, Easton Neston, a Grade I listed baroque home designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor and built in 1695 was sold for almost £15m by Lord Hesketh. It's now the home of Leon Max, the designer behind the Max Studion fashion line. The sale brings and end to nearly 470 years of Heskeths at Easton Neston. Max plans to live in the magnificent house and use the stables and the Wren building, attached to the main house, as offices for Max Studio. The article in the London Times states that Lord Hesketh decided to sell in order to avoid leaving his children with a white elephant of a house which can cost millions to maintain.
