Manolo Shoes Out of Fashion?
Today's WWD has an interesting story on the "it" shoe of the moment. Once Manolo Blahnik reigned supreme among New York fashionistas but now it seems that Christian Louboutin is the shoe designer people are flocking to. Like Blahnik shoes, Louboutin's are beautifully made, hard to walk in and rather expensive. Louboutin shoes also have a trademark red sole. Has the Manolo lost his edge? Don't cry for Manolo, saturating the market has been good for business and even if the isn't the flavor of the month it's unlikely that Manolo Blahnik shoes will ever truly go out of style.
