Campo di Sasso

insoglio wine

Through this article on Decanter, we learn of the Campo di Sasso estate. According to Decanter, Lodovico Antinori recently announced that his "avant-garde wine cellar" will be designed by Milanese architect Gae Aulenti. The Campo di Sasso estate is located in the Maremma, an area that produces the mythical Super Tuscan wines. The wines from Campo di Sasso, the first joint project for the Antinori brothers after 20 years, are currently doing time in a temporary cellar on the estate. The estate's top wine, Il Biserno, will be ready for drinking in 2008, and the cellar will be ready around the same time. Meanwhile you can enjoy the Insoglio 2003 which was recently released. It's a young accessible wine featuring Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes.
