Mobiado Phone
Our gadget-loving sibling Engadget posted on this a few weeks ago but it took a wander on Cool Hunting for me to unearth this wood-covered treasure. Engadget wasn't loving on Professional EM phone but they seem to have a much less wood-friendly aesthetic than I do. While this thing does remind me of remote controls from the 1980s, it features beautiful exotic hardwoods and aluminum, acrylic, and stainless steel. The buttons are stainless steel and raised up which is nice for those who are dialing with long nails. The screens are abrasive-resistant acrylic and the phone includes a 1.3 megapixel camera, music player, FM radio and Bluetooth. Durable and attractive it's not quite as posh as a Vertu but definitely a step above the norm. It sells for $1900.
