Given that we recently learned that luxury consumers like eating off more utilitarian china, I found this article on the new Pfaltzgraff site interesting. Pfaltzgraff is trying to shake off its dowdy reputation with a new site that lets you design your own china. Pfz.com lets you customize your plates whether you are designing a complete set or a special custom gift item. The site has color, shape, print and personalization options for a wide variety of dishes. The porcelain pieces are all microwave-proof and dishwasher-safe.
