The Futuristic Homes of Lower Mill Estate
A strange collection of luxury homes will be gracing a Cotswold nature reserve. The BBC reports on the homes which are designed by some of the UK's top architects. The 46 houses are part of the Lower Mill Estate in Gloucestershire. The houses are all unique, some have rooms that open, revolving doors or are designed to slide out over the lake. The homes, designed as second residences, are selling for up to £10m. The area is designed as a large nature reserve. Most of the 500 or so homes at Lower Mill Estate are designed as more standard-looking contemporary buildings. Plans for the first eight houses were unveiled at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
