Round Hill Estate
I chose to post this house on Independence Day since it looks a bit like a cross between the White House and Monticello. This large estate in Greenwich, Connecticut has a European elegance. The 15,000 sq. ft. home is made of limestone and granite and sits on nearly six acres. The new home faces Wilshire Lake and has tall windows, French doors and elliptical terraces. The house has elaborate parquet and inlay floors, detailed boiserie and wrought iron staircases. The six bedroom home also has a grand ballroom, formal dining room, an indoor pool with sauna and steam room, a theater, a billiards room and a wine cellar. The owner's suite has a fireplace, balcony, his and her steam baths and wardrobes. It is listed at $16.9 million.
