Luxury Consumers Prefer Eating Off the Cheap China

Forget bringing out the Spode, according to this article, luxury consumers are buying cheaper sets of china for their tables.  They are picking up sets like the Sausalito collection from Pottery Barn shown here that are meant to be seasonal and disposable. Unlike most consumers, however, the luxury consumer uses the dinnerware a few times and then give it away.  It's the luxe version of paper plates says Unity Marketing.
