No Wine at the Doctor's Office
I've seen a lot of articles recently about spas in hospitals but while it is completely normal to sip champagne at a spa, what happens when the spa is in the doctor's office? A doctor who owns a Vernon Hills, Illinois laser center recently sough permission to serve alcohol to clients. The town's governing board turned him down. The Ritacca Laser Center offers services from liposuction to manicures and Dr. Daniel Ritacca wanted to serve wine to patients to help them relax. The board quickly voted not to allow him a liquor license fearing that it might set a dangerous precedent. I think a glass of wine can't hurt as long as the doctor isn't drinking it too.
