Customized Earnest Sewn Jeans
Earnest Sewn, the popular brand by the former designer from Paper Denim jeans, has opened a custom jean shop on Washington Street in New York's Meatpacking district. Customers can choose from an array of options including fit, stiching, wash, and length and then wait patiently at the store's cafe for the jeans to be custom made (which I'm told takes an hour on a good day.) A pair of customized jeans costs $170-$200 and there is currently a two-week waiting list.
