Hello Kitty Goes High End

diamond hello kitty

Think Hello Kitty is just for the kiddies?  Sanrio, the company behind the perky feline, has signed deals with crystal-covered purse creator Judith Leiber and the blingtastic Kimora Lee Simmons.  Leiber recently made a Hello Kitty minaudiere and other elements of the collection include a mirror and a key chain.  The "Hello Kitty Collection by Kimora Lee Simmons" makes ample use of diamonds, precious and semi-precious stones.  The nine-carat diamond convertible pendant/brooch is valued at more than $50,000 and there are also charm bracelets, earrings and other designs which are being sold at Neiman Marcus.  Imagine this in someone's estate jewelry collection in fifty years.
