Cartier Precious Wood Sunglasses

Cartier's unusual sunglasses have side pieces in precious wood, gold-tinted brown lenses and your choice of gold or platinum finish. The wood is bubinga wood, an African wood with an exotic red finish. The glasses are rimless and have the stylised Carter C motif. Seriously gorgeous. There is also a pair of the sunglasses available on eBay for a buy-it-now price of $1,550.

Known as the "Sagone", these are truly exquisite frames. Although the wooden temples cannot be adjusted for a custom fit around the ears, they have an absolutely luxurious feel. Indeed, they are the most comfortable eyeglasses I've ever slipped on. As is always with Cartier, the craftsmanship is impeccable, stunning, and goegeous.

I just purchased the "rimmed" version of those, price $1550. The rimless (like those shown) are actually $1400 with plain wood, and $1600 with decorated wood temples.

They are indeed the finest quality glasses I've ever seen. I am very pleased with the comfort of the frame, and more importantly they are very nice looking.
