Will Schwarzenegger Lose His Cigar Tent?
One of the world's most famous cigar smokers may be in danger of losing his favorite place to puff. California governator Arnold Schwarzenegger may be in danger of losing his beloved smoking tent. The tent, set up outside the capitol building is where Schwarzenegger likes to talk policy and smoke cigars. Democrats have created a bill that will ban smoking in enclosed courtyards of state buildings which will mean that the tent must go. The Schwarzenegger camp says the tent promotes bipartisan relations and has vowed that no one will take away his tent.

The democrats can whine all they want:
"This is my negotiation tent and no one is going to take that away," Schwarzenegger said in an interview with Fox News on Sunday. "Just remember one thing. They can pass all the bills they want. There's one person who has to sign it. That's me."

It would be nice if the Teminator would terminate all this anti-smoking nonsense!

The perverse humor and hypocracy of Schwartzenegger's complicity in reviving cigar smoking's status at the same time he was Bush Sr.'s chair of the President's Council On Physical Fitness is dwarfed only by Rush Limbaugh's drug hoarding and addiction. It may be a laudable libertarian position to let smokers smoke privately, or even smoke what they choose, but any person concerned about how he affects the health of others might consider how their smoke tends to enter smoke-free buildings while trapped in closed courtyards, circumventing intended protective boundaries. His churlish response to lawmakers' health-oriented bills is beneath his position as Governor of our state. It's not just about him or his celebrity, it's about looking out for the rest of us. He's still free to play "sultan" and hold his club-like meetings, if that's the image he wants to present.

I think this smoking issue is getting out of hand. There are a lot more harmful things than smoking, like spraying all of California's crops with MSG. MSG and its 30 other names that are hidden from the public kills more people then cigarettes.
More kids are born with the affliction of autism. MSG causes obesity, cancer and diabetes etc. Just go on Google and do a search on MSG and you will be amazed.

Honestly I would love to see the Democrats walk up to Arnold and demand that he give up his tent..I think it would take him about 30 seconds to show all those "girly-men" what he thinks of their opinion..lol...Seriously though, as long as smoking is not occuring anywhere close enough to non-smokers to cause them harm...leave the smokers alone!...let us have our freedoms as well please...after all, the last time i checked, smokers were American citizens as well..

Much as the thought of all the wonderful places to visit in California appeals strongly to me, Hell will freeze over before I support this Anti-Smoking Fascism with tourist Dollar.
If the Tobacco industry or those who support them, were to massage the statistics so remorselessly and with so little shame the screams of incandesent rage would echo across the planet but, when the Health Fascists do it, that's OK.
Well; not with me.
