Forbes List of Most Expensive Cosmetics
Forbes has compiled a list of the most expensive skin care products. The products which cost hundreds of dollars per ounce often contain ingredients like crushed pearls, caviar and exotic extracts. Top of the list is Dr. Gregory Brown's Revive Volumizing Serum which sells for $600 per ounce. The serum uses KGF, Keratinocye Growth Factor, a molecule which is said to help plump up skin, hinder DNA fragmentation and turn over dying skin cells quickly. Do the pricey potions work? They help to some extent but as Forbes points out, there is no magic fix and lifestyle has a lot to do with helping to decelerate the aging process.
