Jay-Z Partners with Audemars Piguet to Make New Watches
We mentioned a couple of months ago that Damon Dash was starting his own watch line. Now ex-partner Jay-Z has partnered up with Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet. The watches will cost between $24,000 and $100,000. There is a limited edition of 100: 50 in stainless steel; 30 in rose gold; and 20 in platinum. Jay-Z has long been a fan of the brand, even including the name of the watch in the lyrics to one of his songs. Each watch also comes with a specially engraved iPod with Jay-Z's albums already uploaded to celebrate Jay-Z's ten years in the music business.

ROC-A-WEAR founder Damon Dash wants a new job. "I'm going to run for President of the United States," the music and fashion mogul told New York's Daily News this week. "I'm a socialist but not an extreme socialist." And he is worried that going by the book to win votes will ruin his white-hot image. "The idea that you need to be stabbed or shot for street cred is corny," he went on. "Street cred is about making the streets safe and secure."
