Estate of the Day: Larry Ellison's Estate
The listing isn't full of great pics but it's definitely an esate worth noticing if only because we are completely obsessed with Larry Ellison and his jets, boats and other toys. His $25 million Atherton, California estate was quietly put on the market a few weeks ago. The house has seven bedrooms on 2.8 acres. Japanese-style details include a traditional tea house, bath house, gardens, a koi pond and waterfalls. The house also has Japanese shoji screens and two tatami rooms but also has more Western details such as a media room, home office and a master bedroom with two bathrooms.

Surprised that you didn't note that Ellison's estate was copied from the most famous Japanese imperial estate, Katsura, located outside of Kyoto. Also, that Ellison's copy cost far more than $25 million to build...

unmai: He built a larger Japanese estate, so he's selling this one off.
As for his yacht, it's too big. He could only harbor it in cruise ship ports costing thousands a day. No taking it to Monaco or something.
