Tom Ford's New Gig

Luxury lovers who have been in mourning since Tom Ford left Gucci for the bright lights of Hollywood can now rejoice, Ford and his Gucci partner-in-fashion Dominic De Sole have formed a new company, Tom Ford, and have entered into an agreement with Estee Lauder. The arrangement is a two part deal. Ford will launch a Tom for Estee Lauder beauty line followed the next year by an independent Tom Ford line. This isn't Tom's first foray into the beauty world, he worked on fragrances for both Gucci and Yves St. Laurent. Ford has been reported as saying that he still plans to conquer Hollywood as well. The first Tom Ford for Estee Lauder products will be ready for holiday 2005.

I cannot wait for his own line of clothing. His designer pieces at Yves Saint Laurent and Gucci completely put them back on the map. His style and design of clothes looked like art you could wear, and were always flattering and exciting.

From what I heard he was reigned in from his former employers with his larger / crazier ideas. I am anxiously waiting to see what creations he will come up on his own with no lager being restrained artistically. - 2die4fashion
