Jumbolair
This article in the Baltimore Sun clued us in to Jumbolair, an aviation estate development in Ocala, Florida. Designed for the plane-obsessed, Jumbolair is a 550-acre community that boasts a $6 million runway which makes it the largest private airfield in the country. Unlike other private airstrips, this one is open to larger planes. John Travolta, a man so in love with planes he named his son Jett, was one of the first to buy in to this development. There are many estates in progress, built by people lured in by the chance to taxi home and park a plane in the driveway. If you are interested in checking out the scene, you can stay at the Inn at Jumbolair, a luxury B&B in an Old-South-styled mansion for around $400 per night. And you don't even have to fly in (although of course, you can).

pretty kewl, but ya gotta figure if they dumped $6 mill into the airstrip, they'd put a little more cake into the website........
