Scenes From the Los Angeles International Antiques, Fine Arts and Jewelry Show

antique show

I ducked in from the brilliant sun of a Southern California afternoon to check out the antiques show at the LA Convention Center.  Considering the overall value of the objects inside, security was surprisingly light.  Inside, classical music played as the monied few checked out the beautiful selections available. The offerings at the show varied widely in style, there were many examples of contemporary art and sculpture, Picasso, Calder and Chagall sketches, vintage and contemporary jewelry, antique home furnishings, lighting and garden supplies.  The selections available were uniquely stunning and all highly priced.  The most inexpensive things I saw (a set of four Chinese fish paintings) were priced around $1,000.  The show is open to the public for $18 per ticket.  Want to check it out for free?  I have an additional pass for two to view the show (open until next Sunday) so if you want them drop me a note in the comments below.  Click through for more pictures from the show.
