The Whisky School
Last week, I wrote about Crushpad, the San Francisco-based winery that lets you create your own wine. But what if you aren't into wine? Maybe you'd rather create your own whisky. The Whisky School at the Ladybank Distillery lets you create your whisky. The three-day program gives you instruction in whisky making and sampling and includes a sample of the 'new-make' whisky that you have created. Your creation will be recorded and kept in the warehouse until it is approved for bottling. The course costs less than $800 and includes lunch at the distillery, all classes, a tasting of mature single malts and nine litres of the spirit you created.
