A Cheaper Rolls-Royce?
Autoblog reports that Rolls-Royce is planning to create a cheaper Rolls in order to compete with the $170,000 Bentley Continental Flying Spur. The Flying Spur is half the price of the Phantom, the only Rolls currently in production. Between this and the new planned convertible it seems that Rolls is ready to step out in a new direction. The lackluster sales of the Phantom probably have something to do with the new ideas but we wonder if trying to lure away Bentley's customers and heading into the slightly more affordable range is truly the best move for the name synonomous with the ultimate in luxury cars.
