Naples Wine Festival Sells an $800,000 Rolls-Royce
Last month, we wrote about the Naples Wine Festival which took place on February 5-6. We mentioned the fact that the auction tend to get spirited and that, in the spirit of charity, big spenders often get competitive and over bid. Still, we found ourselves surprised by Autoblog's mention of the $800,000 Rolls-Royce that sold during the event. The Rolls-Royce Phantom was custom-designed for the wine lovers, with a Burgundy exterior and a leather, cashmere and Mahogany exterior. It also had a mini wine cellar in the trunk floor and a humidor in the glove compartment. The car retails for $374,534. The event raised more than 11 million dollars from more than 500 people. Proceeds from the auction benefit charities that serve the needs of children in the Collier County area.
